Animated photos versus a pan-and-zoom slideshow
A slideshow builder pans and zooms across the still frame, so nothing in the room moves relative to anything else. AI animation generates new frames, so the shot reads as filmed footage, with parallax between the foreground and the background as the camera moves.
That is also why it needs checking: the model draws the frames itself and can change small details such as table legs, window frames or what is visible outside a window.
What to check before you publish
Compare every clip with its source photo: fixtures, windows, doors, flooring and the view. Replace any clip that changes something a buyer would rely on. Follow your MLS and portal rules on AI-generated or edited media, and do not present the clips as filmed footage.
Which photos animate best
Use the same photos you would put in the listing. Wide, sharp, evenly lit shots give the model the most to work with; tight crops, blurred shots and heavily edited photos give it less. Mix interiors with at least one front exterior so the reel has an opening and a closing shot.
For an exterior, you can also turn a delivered clip into a day to dusk version or a drone-style reveal; each new version uses 150 credits, the same as any clip.
