AI day to dusk real estate video from a listing photo
A day to dusk real estate video turns one daylight listing photo into a 5-second clip in which the sky deepens to blue hour and the lights come on while the camera slowly pushes in. In MotionCasa it is an effect you apply to a clip you have already rendered: open the clip, choose Day to dusk under Redo this clip, and the new version uses 150 credits, the same as any clip. Clips come from a one-time $19 pack per listing (1,200 credits, up to 8 clips), with no subscription, and AI rendering starts with a Google sign-in.

How the day to dusk effect works
Start a listing in Studio with 5 to 8 photos. MotionCasa renders one 5-second clip per photo and lets you review each one. On any delivered clip, open Redo this clip and choose Day to dusk. The effect renders a new version of that clip from the same photo: over the five seconds the light shifts from daylight to blue-hour twilight, warm lights switch on behind the windows, exterior lights come on, and the camera performs the same slow push-in as the standard clip.
The new version arrives as a candidate next to the original. Compare it with the source photo, then choose Use this clip to put it into your reels, or keep the original. Nothing replaces your original clip until you choose. If the render fails, the credits for it return to your balance.
Branded + MLS unbranded export. $19 per listing, no subscription, Google sign-in required.
Which photos work best
Daylight exterior photos with visible windows and some sky give the clearest result: the change of light is easy to read, and the windows give the lights somewhere to appear. Our published sample is an exterior. We have not published interior samples of this effect, so treat interior results as untested and review them carefully.
Avoid photos that are already taken at sunset or at night: there is no daylight left to turn into dusk. Photos with heavy HDR or a replaced sky can also give the model less to work with.
What to check before you use the clip
The light in a day to dusk clip is generated. The lamps that switch on, the glow in the windows and the colour of the sky are not a recording of the house at dusk. Check that the architecture, the windows, the roofline and the landscaping still match the photo, and reject any version that adds or removes features.
Many MLS and portal rules require edited or AI-generated imagery to be disclosed, and a dusk exterior should not be the only way a buyer sees the house. Check your local rules, label the clip if they require it, and keep a daylight photo or clip in the same listing.
A dusk video instead of a twilight photo edit
Most virtual twilight services produce a still image: a daylight photo edited to look like dusk. If you want motion, you then animate that still in a separate video tool. MotionCasa renders the transition itself, so the change from day to dusk happens inside the clip, and the clip drops straight into the same reel templates as the rest of the listing in 9:16, 16:9 and 1:1.
If what you need is a twilight photo for the listing gallery rather than a video, a photo edit service is the better fit, and the table below shows one example as checked on the vendor page.
Questions
What is a day to dusk real estate video?
It is a short clip made from one daylight photo of a property in which the light changes to dusk: the sky deepens to evening blue and the lights come on. In MotionCasa it is a 5-second clip with a slow push-in, rendered by AI from your listing photo.
How much does a day to dusk clip cost?
A dusk version of a clip uses 150 credits, the same as any clip. The one-time $19 pack has 1,200 credits, so one listing can have, for example, 7 standard clips and 1 dusk version. Larger packs are $49 for 3 listings and $99 for 7. There is no subscription.
Can I export it with and without my branding?
Yes. Branded + MLS unbranded export: every reel can be downloaded with your logo, headshot and contact details, or as an MLS-clean version without agent branding.
Do I have to disclose an AI dusk clip in a listing?
Check your local MLS and portal rules. Many require edited or AI-generated imagery to be disclosed. The lights and the dusk sky in the clip are generated, so label the clip where required and keep a daylight photo or clip of the same view in the listing.
Which photos give the best result?
Daylight exterior photos with visible windows and some sky. Photos already taken at sunset or at night have no daylight to change. Interior results are untested; review them carefully.
Do I need an account?
Yes for the AI render: sign in with Google before your first render. You can check photo order and pacing in a local browser preview first; it uploads nothing and uses no credits.
